The iX5 60 xDrive uses a 144 kWh net battery with 120 mm Gen6 cylindrical cells and dual-motor all-wheel drive. BMW quotes 570 hp, 593 lb-ft, estimated 4.4 seconds to 60 mph and a preliminary 435-mile EPA range. Charging is announced at up to 460 kW DC, with bidirectional Vehicle-to-Load, Vehicle-to-Home and Vehicle-to-Vehicle functions. iX5 Hydrogen is scheduled to add fuel-cell electric propulsion in 2028.
